Grad Formal 2017 is the program's traditional year-end event that hosts the upcoming graduates. It is a night where undergraduates, instructors and professors come together to network and interact one last time before the graduation ceremony begins. This event was year-long in planning and involved partners and supporters that made this night possible. It was also recognized by peers and faculty as the best grad formal event
that was planned and executed smoothly.

Special thanks to our wonderful volunteers!
In any events, I love to go through the process of planning & execution. I had the opportunity to experience how the past graduation formal events were ran as a volunteer in prior years. I took the initiative to get the planning started and I pulled together an amazing team that had both an entrepreneurial mindset but also specialized in the roles they were in. By Sept 2016, I had built a horizontal workflow that allowed streamline communication through Google Drive organization, allowing us to be 4 months ahead of schedule compared to the prior year. The concept behind our branding was to create airline that would take our students to their next destination.
With an attendance of over 75% of the 4th year class, we raised over $40,000 in combination with sponsorship funds and sales. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to lead and the close the remarks for my graduating year, alongside being the the corresponding MC for the nights festivities. Our sponsors included Warner Bros, 6ix Side, Red Bull and the faculty of GCM at Ryerson University. The formal was held at the Berkeley Church; it was accessible and also welcoming for all our guests.
